The PASS Consulting Group has added an interface to Lufthansa’s own API to its SolutionWorld Travel technology suite, meaning Lufthansa Group flights can now be booked directly offering additional capabilities.
PASS Travel XML API (XX/1) customers now have an IATA New Distribution Capabilities (NDC) solution at their fingertips for offers from Lufthansa Group Airlines (Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, and SWISS). PASS has developed the direct interface in close collaboration with Lufthansa and had it certified by the company, which means that customers don’t require any additional certification from Lufthansa to use the interface. “We’re delighted that PASS has been one of the first partners to focus on business travel with the integration of our direct interface. It shows that our NDC-based interface can successfully serve the complex requirements of the business travel sector. It’s a further step in the Lufthansa Group’s strategy of revolutionizing the traditional distribution landscape,” says Arber Deva, Head of Direct Distribution Solutions Lufthansa Group Hub Airlines.
Uniform XML communication
“The demand from our customers for direct connections continues to grow. With our uniform XML API XX/1, we’re providing them with flexible technology to integrate and use the desired interfaces quickly and easily,” says Michael Strauss, Head of Business Unit Travel at PASS. More than 45 providers from the airline, hotel, rental car, and rail industries are currently integrated – including all major GDS and content aggregators – as well as direct connections from service providers. Users consequently benefit from reduced complexity and are able to focus on their core business.
