Verification of Payee: PASS successfully completes the EPC's RVM qualification process

The PASS Consulting Group has completed the qualification process as an RVM (Routing and Verification Mechanism) as part of the Verification of Payee program of the European Payments Council (EPC). This makes the software company the first German core banking provider to achieve full qualification status. 

Just under three months before the Verification of Payee deadline on October 9, 2025, the PASS Consulting Group has passed the functional tests within the EPC's API Reference Toolbox (ART) with its software solution and achieved self-certification status. It has also successfully integrated the EPC Directory Service (EDS). According to the EPC website, only 28 providers across Europe are currently fully qualified.

“By completing the process at an early stage, we are ideally prepared to support payment service providers and banks throughout the SEPA area in integrating IBAN name matching into their payment processes on time,” says Ole Barkmann, Head of Business Development Banking at PASS.

The software enables both the active checking of requests and the answering of incoming requests.
