Happy Holidays!

Just like when looking at a painting, it is helpful in life

to take a step back from things in order to understand them better.

What connects us

PASS Late Year Benefit Concerts

Driven by the desire to combine an exciting concert night with the opportunity to do good, PASS launched the “Late Year Benefiz” in 2003. This year, we were able to host ALPHAVILLE, the 80s synthpop band par excellence, on the big stage for the 21st Late Year Benefiz. At the after-show party that followed, we celebrated with the fantastic musicians from Boppin'B.

Part of the concert proceeds and the numerous generous donations from our invited guests can now be directly allocated to our heartfelt projects. All three projects have the same core goal: to give children in poor countries access to education and healthy food in a safe environment.

We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our staff, customers, suppliers, and all other guests. In order to further increase the amount donated, the PASS staff is foregoing material Christmas gifts, as they do every year. As a result, there are now sufficient financial resources available to ensure, in particular, the completion of the construction of a secondary school in Malawi.

Thank you!

What drives us

Giving children the gift of education

Donations that go directly to where they are really needed – that is our promise. This year, PASS is supporting three important projects that give children access to education and also provide them with regular meals and care.

The next school in Malawi

€10,000 were handed over to Dr. Michael Bargl and Susanne Crecelius, who had already initiated the construction of the Tadala abc Primary School in the village of Mzungu in Malawi in 2023. In close cooperation with abc-Gesellschaft e. V., a secondary school (from the 9th grade onwards) is now to be built nearby, thus providing access to the highest level of education. The couple also works closely with the local Match Foundation, which provides sports opportunities and scholarships. As many young people drop out of school due to costs and long, dangerous routes to school, these new learning conditions are particularly important.

Furniture, books, and a protective wall

A further €10,000 will be provided for the continuation of the “New Hope School” construction project in Freetown, in civil war-torn Sierra Leone. PASS already participated in this private initiative last year, led by Prof. Jörg Klepper, head of the Aschaffenburg-Alzenau Children's Hospital, and Dr. Stephanie Flörke-Klepper. The building is now complete, and the first school classes moved in last fall. The second donation will now be used to purchase additional furniture and teaching materials and to erect a protective wall around the site.

Paving the way for children to receive education and security

Another project that PASS is supporting with a donation this year is the Weg der Hoffnung foundation. Founded over 40 years ago, the foundation works in the slums of Villavicencio in Colombia, where people need support most urgently. The focus is on education and training. People with disabilities are prepared for work and life. Women receive further training and can build a livelihood with the help of microloans. Angelika Brang-Endemann, president of the Rotary Club of Aschaffenburg, is personally committed to the project and also accepted the donation of €10,000.

PASS Engagement

All people, especially young people who still have their whole lives ahead of them, should be given the opportunity to receive education and training. This is the key to a dignified and fulfilling life. For this reason, we support social projects that enable education, create opportunities, and provide assistance where it is most urgently needed.
