PASS becomes a member of the Alliance for Cyber Security

With the expansion of capacities in the company's own data center network, the PASS Consulting Group also became a member of the Alliance for Cyber Security in 2020. As a cloud service provider of its own solution worlds (applications) for financial service providers, travel agencies, store operators, temporary employment agencies and in the public sector with currently more than 2000 cloud service customers, PASS benefits from a broad and diverse network of companies. The aim is to share IT expertise, application experience and information on current digital threats. All cloud service customers of the PASS Consulting Group benefit from the high level of data security.

As of August 2020, around 4,500 companies and institutions throughout Germany already belong to the initiative - and the trend is rising. The Alliance for Cyber Security and its partners provide a constantly growing repertoire of information on the cyber security situation as well as recommendations for action. With its membership, PASS thus has access to the latest findings on cyber security. The content enables a rapid response to changes in the threat situation and helps PASS overall to maintain a high level of security for the customer systems operated in its data centers.

Gerhard Rienecker, founder and CEO: "We are growing very strongly in our cloud services business segment and operate critical infrastructure for some of our service customers. It is no longer enough for us that our security standards are confirmed once a year by ISO27001 certification or audited according to the IDWPS951 standard. We have recognized that we need to develop our security standards on a daily basis. In this respect, we continuously run intrusion tests and hope for a lively exchange of ideas in terms of crowdsourcing and swarm intelligence within the Alliance for Cyber Security."

Founded in 2012, the Alliance for Cyber Security is an initiative of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The aim is to strengthen Germany's resilience as a business location against cyber attacks. 140 partners and 98 multipliers are involved in the initiative, making a valuable contribution to greater cyber security in the Federal Republic.
