PASS Consulting Group opens new business location in Tunisia

The PASS Consulting Group has officially opened its Development & Software Service Center in Tunis and is now represented on a total of four continents. The first PASS location in Africa works together with colleagues in Germany on innovative IT projects. Three members of the PASS Board of Executives visited their new colleagues on site in Tunisia in December 2023.

Before the third weekend of Advent, PASS CEO and founder Gerhard Rienecker, Andreas Rinner (Chief Digital Officer) and Jan Rienecker (Chief HR & Controlling Officer) traveled to the Tunisian capital to officially hand over the newly established Development and Software Service Center to its future destination.

During a meet & greet at the new business premises, the German management team also got to know the employees who will be working on the company's numerous software and IT projects from the African continent in the future. Initially, the Tunis site will start with 15 employees. The current expansion plan is initially for 30 full-stack developers by the end of 2024.

"I am delighted that we are able to open this development center here in Tunis today," said Gerhard Rienecker, welcoming the new PASS employees. "We still have big plans here. We are planning to expand this PASS site to over 250 employees in the next five years."

Ahmed Tayeche, Managing Director of PASS Development Center Tunisia, was delighted with the new premises in the well-known business district of Les Berges du Lac 2. "It is outstanding that PASS is investing in a new company here in Tunisia and that we can finally move into our new offices," said Tayeche, who selected the first developers for the new location from a huge pool of applicants over the past few months. "My team and I are looking forward to getting to work together with our German colleagues."

The high demand for jobs in the IT sector is no coincidence: Tunisia is investing heavily in its IT infrastructure and in the high-quality training of IT specialists. Every year, more than 10,000 students graduate from IT courses at Tunisian universities. The proportion of women is almost 50 percent. The PASS Consulting Group would like to use this potential for the realization of innovative future technology.
