PASS Online Ticket Shop for the Lions Club Hanau

Online trade is booming and has long since encompassed more than traditional retail. Event organizers can therefore no longer avoid offering their tickets online in addition to the classic advance sale. The Lions Club in Hanau has now followed this trend and offered digital tickets for the first time.

The digitalization of commerce is in full swing: in the first two quarters of 2019, online commerce generated sales of more than 33 billion euros (source: Statista). The e-commerce sector is growing, not least because of the changing purchasing behaviour of society in recent years. Whether it's a ticket for the train, a ticket for the favourite club or the comedy event around the corner – nobody wants to have to queue for tickets anymore.

The all-round carefree package

Getting to a seat of your choice quickly and easily – that is the wish of online ticket buyers. The seating plan must be illustrated and clearly visible. Preferably with a representation of the view of the stage after selecting the desired seats. There are also clear expectations when it comes to the purchase procedure. Ordering processes are regularly aborted if the preferred payment method is not offered by the online retailer.

The need to offer tickets online has long since reached even small event organizers. But the implementation is a challenge because the necessary expertise is often not available internally. The solution is obvious: the task is outsourced. And that is exactly what the Lions Club Hanau did in May 2019. It commissioned PASS to implement the complete online ticketing for a charity event.

The full-service package of PASS included the entire information and ordering process, including clear event details, booking in the seating plan and payment. In terms of payment procedures, the organizer was free to choose from the entire range of services offered by PASS: Invoice, Paypal, instant bank transfer, Amazon Pay and many more. Afterwards, the buyers had the possibility to print out the purchased tickets or show them on their smartphone. Basically, PASS also offers an app concept with admission control at the event location.

When things have to go fast

From the idea of offering tickets digitally to the processing took a few weeks. PASS thus shows how quickly market requirements can be responded to using standard procedures. By outsourcing the ticket shop, the Lions Club was able to respond quickly and without specialist knowledge to the trend in consumer purchasing behaviour. The individual branding and the possibility of integrating sponsor logos into the ticket shop also ensures that the Lions club is directly recognized as an organizer and that the sponsors can use the marketing effect.
